Google's Newest "innovations" Makes It Easier To Steal Images
Google just released a new feature that makes it easier for image thieves to grab artist images without even having to both visiting the web site that hosts the image.
Image further divorced from copyright owner.
Less traffic to websites
More bandwith cost to the websites
More image thief
Everything benefits Google - thanks to artist and image creators, Google gets free content to distribute freely to their customers while the image providers are left holding the bag.

To clarify the point is that Google is removing the link back to the original website. Basically they act as if they own this database of images which are really just grabbed from all over the Internet.

They haven't removed the link to the original image. In fact, they've added more ways to get to the original page.
1) by clicking on the image itself
2) by clicking on the title of the image
3) by clicking the "visit page" button

Agree with Loree.
I just checked three of my images, and there were many links back to many of my original pages / usages of the images.
But I do have a question. In the google blog, it says this:
"People looking for images on Google often want to browse through many images, looking both at the images and their metadata (detailed information about the images). "
In checking my images, I could not find a way to display the detailed metadata as stated in the article. How is this done?
