Kindle Books?

I self-published a book two years ago, and just now realized how simple it was to publish it to Kindle. So here it is, is all it's glory:
(short stories and poems) for 2.99.

I wish I had known how easy it would be, I would have done it a long time ago!
Anyone else have a book on Kindle? How many have you sold?

Janine, I prefer paper books as well, but I felt I would have a chance to reach a larger audience if I offered my book on Kindle as well. Anyone else do Kindle books?

Yes, I found it not too difficult as well.

Both books look interesting but how well do they sell? Is it worth the effort of compiling material and writing the book? Do they start to sell immediately, a few books a month? Do they begin selling right away then sales taper off? Or does it take awhile for sales to start?

I put my book on last night and already made one sale. I was inspired by a friend of mine who self-published her book with a company. They offered her book on Kindle as well. She didn't pay attention to the sales for awhile and went back to find she has sold thousands of books! Since I already had my book published and formatted, I thought why not? It was free and it took me about an hour to get it right.

Angela, looking to use both kindle & epub, have you considered epub used with NOOK and many other tablets & readers?

I put a tutorial on my website for anyone who is wondering how to create an ebook. I will go in and post it as its own tab to help you out. A clean Word document is all that Kindle needs, but Smashwords has a few more guidelines to follow in order to be published.

This is interesting information, thanks everyone... Kerri I checked your website and I was looking for your tutorial you mentioned, I am not sure where it is, I don't see it there, could you please add the link to your tutorial. I have a children's book in mind, I have started it but not sure how to go ahead and finish it...

I just placed the tutorial back on my page.
