Yesterday I had my first sale on this new year. An art collector from London, UK purchased my original painting entitled PASSION SEEKER :
This is the 55-th original I sold via FAA. I have the intention that in time to put in this thread all the originals I sold via FAA . I saw that many artists ask if the originals sell through FAA and I'll dedicate this thread to share my experience with this great site.
Thank you so much for your kind congratulations, Yew, Natalie, Theresa and Richie.
It was a great coincidence that in 2012 the first sale it was also an original and also on 7 January. Last year was an art collector from Bensalem, PA, USA who bought this original painting of mine :
Want also to share in this thread a moment of joy that I have experienced last year when an art collector who purchased 6 of my originals paintings wrote me into a message :
''There are moments that occur in some of your works that are in a word- magical. I do not know you as person and have no reason to be untruthful in my observations. But, you are on the threshold looking out onto realms most painters will never see. Whatever you are doing, keep doing it! Make the magic happen! Step through the threshold! ''
I was so deeply impressed when I read these words..... and moments like this one make me want to continue creating art.
The originals I sold to this so wonderfully elegant and special art collector were :
@ Mary Armstrong : Yes, Mary, all the buyers found me on FAA. I am on others sites, too, but FAA is the most efficient site for sales. From what I know, there are also other artists who sold originals from this site.
Just a thought:
If you sell an original, before you ship it, you might want to take some time and get the best possible photo before you pack and ship. After all, it must be a pretty good image! And you won't get the opportunity again.
Thank you so much, Ramona and Conor, for your kind congrats.
Thank you so very much for your great advice, Gregory. Every time I sold originals, I took a good number of photos and took care to have good photos just in case..... as you said, it's my last chance to take photos.... Thank you again.
Very good idea Gregory, cause getting a good photo won't likely be possible once the art is sold and gone. I just got a request today, from a person interested in a small painting and saw mine on FAA. So will see if it progresses to a real sale and not some scam. Was not worded like a scam, so hopes are high. Sometimes people just inquire.
Congrats Ana Maria, congrats on your sales, as I viewed your gallery it remains consistent, the style, compositions, vivid colors, your signature is visible in each and every individual piece. You are a master stylist, each of your pieces has an eye appeal which is sought after by collectors from around the world. Bravo, Bravo, Bravo, Good luck with all your future creations of beauty.
