This ink drawing is on acid-free paper. It is from art that I drew as decoration for my husband's custom turkey calls. High time that I began to redraw my illustrations as fine art! 

I began working from a Hubble photo of the Corina Nebula and took liberties from there. Some of the stars are painted using acrylic paint otherwise the piece is drawn in color pencil. Inspiration for the drawing comes from Rev. 7:12. 

This drawing is 99.9% color pencil but I go back at the very last and use acrylic paint to lay in some of the tiny stars. It has multiple layers of fixative to protect and preserve the drawing. It isn't meant to represent a particular formation in sp...

I really didn't want this one to be this bright but I get so enamored with color right out of the tube! 

This behemoth springs out of the ground in the summer and grows to nearly 5 feet tall. The bud stalk shoots out in just a couple days with a bud on the end that is as big as two hands cupped together. The blossoms burst forth like fireworks exploding...
