These flowers were growing in my friend's garden in Colorado. As always I am attracted to the patterns and shapes in nature. I like the different angles of each blossom. 

How cold do you want to feel' This painting is inspired in winter in Colorado. A few snow flurries make it feel festive. This is painted with Acrylic on heavy weight paper. 

This painting is inspired by winter in Colorado. I liked to emphasize the pink glow that often tints the winter scene. The original is done in acrylic with collage on heavy paper. 

This painting includes some of my favorite pieces of pottery made by friends plus a lovely place mat from Mexico, also a gift of a friend. So it holds a lot of memories for me. 

This still life was painted from life but abstracted to add interest. I always like to look for new patterns and designs in art. 

I like to look for patterns in nature. The repetition and the flow of shapes gives a soothing feeling. This painting is done with watercolor on Yupo. Using this medium it is possible to lift color back to white to create the snow. 

This painting is inspired by the winter in Colorado. I like the peacefulness of the soft colors and the patterns of nature. 

This is my favorite little glass vase and I always try to keep a blossom in it. The original is painted on an 8 x 8" square block and just perfect for that little spot on your wall. 

These are the flowers on my front porch. Petunias do great in CO. They lend a note of cheer to anyone coming in the door. The original is painted on a 8 x 8" block with the sides painted, unframed. 

This painting is done in acrylic on a 12 x 12" block. I like to emphasize the patterns created by the trees, water and rocks in the scene. It is not meant to be realistic but to invite the viewer to take a closer look. 

This painting was inspired by the Colorado Rockies. I used collage to emphasize the varied patterns the trees create on the mountain side.  

Shapes and patterns intrigue me. This painting came to be after working with the circles and lines until they made an interesting and pleasing design. The circles running around the painting suggested the title "The Chase." 

This painting was inspired by the forest in Maine. It is painted in acrylic on a 12 x 12' block. I love the way the trees and shadows create patterns and shapes.  

Hula hoops were lots of fun in the fifties. 

This is a reminder of fun times with hula-hoops.
