Taken at the Chalmette Battleground site in Chalmette, Louisiana. "CLD. INF." mean the colored infantry. A startling piece in rich purple and green, it evokes the sadness of the grave.

I found a beautiful gourd and used it as a subject for a series of photographs.In particular I am studying light and shadow, with strong color values. The colors I have not touched, the only digital messing-about I did was with the levels.
