Gourd Rainstick with orca design 

Gourd Mandolin 

Details of the pyrography on the back of my new gourd banjo. It's not for sale. I made it for myself. 

 

A combination of two of my pryrography on paper works scanned, then digitally-manipulated and printed over each other on heavy watercolor paper. 

Pyrograohy on watercolor paper. 

 

 

I scanned a watercolor/pyrography work of mine and printed that on watercolor paper to use as a "background painting," and then added more pyrography, watercolor and leather dyes. 

I used pyrography on heavy watercolor paper for this portrait of the spotted owl.

Not everyone knows that you can use a pyrography tool (a woodburner) to burn images onto paper, but you can and the paper will not catch on fire. For this portrait of my cat (a Chartreux with blue fur), I used only pyrography on watercolor paper. To ...
