This is a drapery study I did for the robes of Jesus. I am doing a portrait  

I continue to try to paint loser using dripped paint and lots of fat paint on the front tulips. 

My children gave me these flowers for Mother's Day. Maybe I should have called the painting Red Hot Mama. 

This was painted from a plein air sketch and a photo I took of the Flower Marcado in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.

I wanted to make a composition using circles as a design form.

I combined heavy brushwork with a pallet knife background to get more texture. This is an play on orange and blue.

This plein air painting was done at the peek of Texas bluebonnet season on a farm near Brenham, Texas 

I painted this plein air at a lovely small pond at the Arboretum in Houston, Texas. This natural landscape is in the middle of the 3rd largest city in the U.S., but you feel like you are in a forest.  

These are home grown roses which have so much more character than store bought roses.
