I found this colorful pineapple in my next door neighbor's yard, and painted it as a demonstration for one of my watercolor classes. It's such a rainbow of colors! 

While walking the Kauai Marathon in 2010 we were pleasantly surprised to be entertained by hula dancers and live music. I spotted this lovely lady and snapped her photo as I walked by. When I looked through my camera, I knew I had to paint this one. ... 

When you receive a plumeria lei in Hawaii, it is the ultimate symbol of Aloha. Some define aloha as "joyfully sharing life." Plumeria flowers are also very fragrant and the smell is sure to awaken your memories of your last pleasant trip to the islan...

This painting is of a beach I go to that is not easily accessible to most. It is located on the property owned by Kauai Coffee and is called Kohaka Beach. I love to go fishing there when all of the other beaches are crowded!  

Hibiscus is always a fun subject to paint with all of their delicate folds. I found this lovely hibiscus at Smith's Tropical Paradise in Wailua, Kauai.. Hope you enjoyed my painting! 

These colorful crotons came from Elena's backyard in Kalaheo, Kauai. She is a good friend of mine and has been taking private lessons from me in painting watercolors. This one we did together in class and it was challenging! Mahalo to Elena for alway... 

This gorgeous wooden canoe was found at Kauai's Kalapaki Beach quite a few years ago.  

This was a fun one to paint! The first layers of paint were laid on the canvas using only my fingers. Later on I added the final brush strokes.
