A ride in the countryside near my Mother's home in Valley Center Ca. resulted in this painting. A dirt road leading to an old farm house had many old Oak trees which are among my favorite trees. Oak trees signify strength and longevity.  

 

The Swan is a peaceful,graceful, and beautiful bird and it symbolizes love and fidelity. This painting was done on a wooden palette and was a commissioned piece. It will make a wonderful gift on giclee, poster or greeting cards. 

Creating action is a challenge, I had to remember how it felt to ride a running horse (which I did many years ago) I felt pleased with the result of the painting as this cowboy really showed lots of action.  

Many great memories of preparing food and drink for Santa Clause on Christmas Eve inspired me to paint Santa thinking hard about whether or not to leave gifts. As a kid we always cleaned our toys (toy) from the last year so that Santa could see that... 

I love animals and especially elephants since they are know as being "warriors". Elephants are also know for, denoting inner strength, and nobility. The original is on a canvas wrap, painted on all sides. Please contact me for the original. 

I love the beach and live very close to the ocean. I painted this one using a very limited palette of soft colors to match the soft waves,flowing skirts and peaceful feeling. I am happy with the feel of softness it captured. 

The tropic Islands are a favorite place for my family. I especially love the colors, trees and flowers. The native people seem to live so comfortably with no pretense. The birds are friendly and right at home in the houses or on the porch.

I try to capture the essence of the person that I paint. I like to see thru their eyes and sense their mood.  

While on vacation @ Avila Bay Ca. I was up at sunrise watching the early morning fog disapear as the sun rose behind the condo where I was staying. The colors were amazing and I was inspired to paint the scene. I hope you enjoy the setting as much as...
