Looking at this just makes me happy. Therefore, the title. 

I love floral close-ups. They begin to take on abstract qualities. 

In late summer or early fall I get nostalgic for the gorgeous colors of fall. This is the season that delights all of my senses, so my brightest colors go on display. 

This was painted on aluminum foil which was mounted on black gessoed board and varnished. A hook for hanging is mounted on the back so there is no need for a frame. 

 

 

 

This collage features golds and purples. It has a bit of an iridescent glow and is punctuated with a round glass bead that brings the eye to the focal point. 

 

 

This piece was done using soft pastel on a board which was coated first with red gesso and then with clear gesso. I live at the beach so doing beach scenes is lots of fun for me. 

This image sprang from my imagination as I experimented with Pan Pastels. I liked what was happening here so i kept developing it. 

This is a playful homage to the art of Jackson Pollock. 

This scene depicts a girl walking along the beach. She has taken quite a long walk and is now anxious to rejoin her family. The scene is Assateague Island and in the distance appears the skyline of Ocean City.
