These are mountains in Northwest Montana and held to be very sacred to the Salish and Kautnie American Indian tribes. Only members of those tribes are allowed in certain places. 

I loved painting this because I saw so many different things in it. Note the little adobe houses in the rocks. It gave me the feeling of flying above and looking down on what might be a New Mexican or Taos village. 

I am showing this painting in 2 different formats. Rectangular and square. Rectangular nice for that skinny wall where nothing seems to fit.
