High on the Continental Divide, a Milwaukee Road Little Joe holds at a red signal as a second emerges from the single track tunnel. The painting is loosely patterned after Pipestone Pass, the highest point on the former Milwaukee Road. 

A big 4-8-4 northern hard a work with a freight train that stretches to the horizon. With a combined locomotive and tender weight of nearly 400,000 pounds, this locomotive could not only be seen and heard, but felt.
