"Single Blue Flower" is actually one floret of a complex plant found growing along a walkway. I liked the simple design of a single floret and took out everything but this little blue flowerette and enhanced it to make it an artwork all its own.

"Single Purple Orchid" began as a photograph of an orchid I took while on a trip. I loved the colors and design so decided to white out everything but the blossom itself and give it a "painterly" feel.
