I painted this work after visiting the Steamtown National Park in Scranton, Pennsylvania in the 90's. I had previously painted several trains in watercolor as well as pencil and pen amp ink which, for the most part all sold before 1980. I was intrigu... 

this is another example of a Georgia farm house that was abandoned and left to rot away. It is simple yet stately and the dead tree out front is a precursor of what will eventually happen to the old building.

I did this drawing of an old lineman's shack on the outskirts of the town of Farmington, Georgia because it's loneliness captured my attention. Since doing this pen and ink sketch, the building has been torn down.
