Zaira Dzhaubaeva was born in Cherkessk, Karachay-Cherkessia, Russia.
She began to draw when she was about 3 years old. Her first drawings, bunnies, dogs and horses, showed the love of nature that presently manifests itself in her paintings.
Zaira studied at the Stavropol State University. There she earned a degree in History and Social Sciences. After graduation she started working at the 'Karachay-Cherkessia' State Broadcasting Company in Cherkessk. She worked in Television for 10 years. Zaira began her television career as assistant director and rose to Chief Director of the television studio before leaving to pursue her passion for art.
Zaira left television to start her career as a professional artist. She started painting professionally in May 2010. Versed in many styles her favorite themes are flowers and animals. Her favorite techniques are watercolor, pop art and mixed media collage. She lives and paints in the Olympia area of Washington State in the United States.
Her paintings have a worldwide following. In the United States her paintings are popular in the Pacific Northwest, California, Texas, Arizona, the Southeast, the Midwest the Midatlantic and the Northeast. Internationally she is popular in Europe, especially in Spain, Great Britain, Germany, France, Italy and Russia. Her paintings have also sold in South America, Asia, Africa and Australia.
