I was born into a photographic family. The son of a portrait photographer, I was always more of an outdoor sort so when I got my first SLR at age 10, I set up a bird feeder at our cottage and took photographs of local birds and the landscape of northern Ontario. Later, when I moved to Alberta I continued my love of photography shooting both personally and for Travel Alberta. Today I sell prints of my work and also do event photography. I also work as a naturalist and guide in the Canadian Rockies which keeps me out in the mountains and gives me plenty of opportunities to capture amazing images.
