Born in Alexandria, Egypt into an artistic family.
Lives in the central coast of California.

I have been interested in art since an early age.
While my father was in Paris studying political science, two of his best friends were pursuing a higher education at the school of fine art in France.
Their close friendship, allowed me to be immersed in art projects and be critiqued and advised by them on an on going basis.

I started participating in an extracurricular art group taught by a fine art professor while in high school.
During my college years, pursuing a career in pharmacy, I was a member of the student art league, tutored by fine art professors.

Being surrounded and raised among antiquities, I have always admired the avant -garde artists of their time; Van Gogh, Matisse, the fauves, Jackson Pollock, Joan Mitchell, Richard Diebenkorn, Nicolas De Stael and others.
The colors, the exuberant effect of the palette knife or the noticeable brushstrokes on the canvas partake and convey the emotions of the artist during the creative process.

Nature and our social environment are always my reference point.
