Vincent Thibodeaux - Fine Artist

Vincent Thibodeaux was born in Pennsylvania in 1974. His father was from Mamou and met his mother in the military. After graduating culinary school in Pittsburgh Vincent moved to New Orleans to learn the culinary ways of his ancestry. He has worked everywhere, from Arnaud's making the red beans, to baking in the city's original po-boy bread factory, Leidenheimer.

In 1999 Vincent decided to quit cooking and start painting full time. For a few years he worked on Jackson Square. He had great success selling his paintings off the fence but in 2010 he decided to hang his hat on the iron pickets when his longtime friend Berhane invited him to join Le Jardin and Gallery Adorn (612 Royal st.) His acrylic paintings are rich in movement, texture and color which fit seamlessly in the gallery's distinct courtyard. The subject matter focuses on the most memorable spots of the French Quarter and surrounding neighborhoods.

Vincent can be found in the Da Quarter during the spring and fall. He spends the winters in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico and the summers traveling the northern United States painting landscapes.
