My people"portraits" are one part cartoon, one part naive, one part child-like, with a dash of deep deep meaning thrown in for good measure. I love kid's art and color. Although these paintings often appear humorous on the surface, their rich surface textures and occasional patina make for a meaningful viewing experience. One can sense a bit of human vulnerability/fragility in any of these pieces.
