My life is divided between the prairies of Southern Alberta and the hill country of Texas. Wherever I am, I feel like I have left a small piece of myself behind. I live with my husband and two dogs, a Chinese shar-pei and a long haired dachshund. When in Texas a dayís fun is wandering along the dry dusty country roads of the hill country, and when in Alberta we love to get out into the mountains to soak up some of their beauty and majesty.
My interest in photography goes back a long ways. My father was a painter and a sculptor and taught me to look for the beauty all around us. My favorite uncle was an amateur photographer who taught me at 6 years old to hand tint some of his early sepia toned photographs. I remember at a very young age wandering around the countryside and coming across things that I wanted so badly to capture an image of to keep forever, but didnít realize at the time that it was the photographer in me crying out.
This world we live in is an amazing place, full of beauty and wonderful sights, color and light, and my passion is to follow where the road leads to find them and capture them for all to see through my eyes.
