Susan Zavadil is an award-winning watercolorist and former interior designer from White Bear Lake, Minnesota. Although she has worked in other mediums, watercolor is her first love. She works in a studio in her home, inspired by the natural beauty outside her window.
She has achieved signature status membership in the Minnesota Watercolor Society, and is a member of various other watercolor societies. Her paintings have been shown at numerous juried shows and received awards both regionally and nationally.
Susan’s work is currently on exhibit at the Art Preserve galleries in both White Bear Lake and Woodbury.

My Philosophy:
Heart and passion are at the core of my art, and watercolor is the medium through which I express my love of color and design.
I particularly enjoy painting street scenes and people studies because of the opportunity to capture a moment. My heart dictates which subject I select and how I approach the project. If I love what I see, and only then, I sign it.
I want my art to tell a story and move the beholder.
