As a child I loved to watch as my grandmother stood at her easel on the back porch of their Walnut Creek home in California. She would be busy creating a beautiful oil painting as she often did in those days. I could hear the sounds of my grandfather in the garage building the frames that would adorn her every painting. I loved to think about the day I would be painting just like my grandmother. One of my favorites is a floral piece that she painted which continues to inspire me today. She has passed to me her love for the creative arts, and her spirit remains in my heart. Like my grandmother my love for nature compels me to spend many hours tending the garden. There I have found the inspiration for many of my paintings. Using oil pigment on canvas I find great pleasure capsuring the beauty of nature just as my grandmother did many years ago.
