My name is Sandy. IÕve worked as a graphic designer/web designer for most of my career. I began exploring photography and painting in the early 2000s as a way to enhance my skills and a designer. IÕve always been interested in arts and crafts and often thought of producing my own artwork.


I have two primary product lines: photo vignettes and photo watercolors.

The photo vignettes series explores a way to update vintage photos by representing a element of scene using vintage lighting techniques.

Photo watercolors prints are abstract photo impressionistic art. I photograph everyday elements--like nature, people and animalsÑuse these photos to create abstract works of art that express emotional concepts. Even though my ÔwatercolorÓ line is ÒpaintedÓ digitally, the tools that I use work very much like real paint and paint brushesÑwithout the mess. I often add acrylic paint and varnish to the printed piecesÑto add texture and weight to the final piece. I take photographs that inspire the paintings I createdÑno stock photos are used. However, IÕm occasionally commissioned to create paintings from photographs other people have taken.
