My name is Sandra Röken and I live in Schöppingen, in northwest Germany, near the Dutch border.
Not more than four years ago I discovered my passion for photography. Initially it was a small compact camera, which accompanied me to everywhere, but that was not enough. Eventually, I bought a small SLR – Equipment, and in autodidactic studies I learned about the technical knowledge, which is necessary for photography and which is essential for the further processing of the photos.
However, I continued to focus my work on the artistic aspect of photography. For me a photo must have soul. I am happy when the viewer’s eye remains longer on my work as only the time of an eye wink. As he or she is touched by the image.
I’m doing photo art, and that’s what I love. In my pictures I can express my feelings.
I love landscapes on the North Sea, in Italy and here where I live. I love to work in the forest. To experience the forest in fog is for me something wonderful. Even cities fascinate me. Prague has captured my heart by storm.
Sometimes I also experiment a lot and am pleasantly surprised what comes out.
From October 2013 until June 2014 pictures of me were exhibited and sold in an art studio in Greetsiel.
I had my first exhibition from May 17 until June 13 2014 in the Green Mill In Greetsiel at the German Norht Sea
