Crape Myrtles Texas Lilacs Sage
Crape Myrtles are a favorite shrub, which can be pruned to resemble a tree, in Texas. They have an abundance of crape-like tiny flowers in clusters. They bloom all summer in most any soil and weather conditions, which make them a favorite with Texas gardeners. They are low maintenance as well. They come in a variety of colors. Texas Lilacs are also known as Chaste Trees. They are fast growing shrubs that grow well in most of Texas' dry, clay like soil. They feature many spears of flowers which are quite scented. Texas Sage is a silvery shrub with purple flowers. A little more difficult to grow and/or keep alive, but still a favorite among Texas gardeners.
