Hello and thank-you for dropping by my gallery. My formal training is for music education then for special education, so right brained activity is a norm for me. I have enjoyed singing in the church choir and praise band as well. My biography in art is very short. My last major art class was in the 8th grade. I have taken a few oil painting classes as well as a live llama drawing class. Those were 2 hrs each and were as an adult. Much of what I have learned has been either through books, trial and error, or by asking other artists (including my sisters and brother - two sisters and my brother are trained artists) to critique me. Now that my niece is older and going to college this fall for art, I even have her helping me out. My photography officially began after working the summer of 1997 at the Columbus Zoo. I received some great advice from Jack Hannah's personal photographer and set off working on my skills. That was before digital was decent, so most of my early works are not so easy to share on here. (I have a great digital now, so not an issue!) I have been painting since about 2005, though I continue to grow daily. Recently I have found a lot of spare time and felt it was time to work on my drawing skills. I try to create a 'finished' piece at least every other day - though the finished piece may be a drawing that I may eventually turn into a painting. I would love nothing more than to find a new career somewhere in the art field, even if as an apprentice or just a secretary, but surrounded by art. I realize I do not have formal training, so I cannot expect to have a main career in art, but it would be nice to have a career I truly enjoy.
