Photography has been a passion of mine for most of my adult life, providing folks with a different aspect of Alaska in all seasons.
Winter is my favorite time to photograph as it poses difficult lighting challenges which change rapidly, and the long nights provide some of the most interesting skies in the world from the moon to the Northern Lights. Working in the dark, cold and wind adds adventure to the process.
Honing my skills for years as a freelance photojournalist as well as a technical advisor in the photo industry has brought my skills to a new level. Fine art photography has always been a goal of mine, and seeing things in a different aspect helps me find the out of the box photographs.
Working in and around Denali National Park suits my avid outdoor lifestylewell; my trademark is either walking or riding a mountain bike in order to find that differnt angle.
