I hope you will find my artwork stimulating, thought-provoking, and appealing enough to desire something to display in your home or business.
Addicted to intensive color combinations, you will find much of my digital art work vibrant, rich in color, and flamboyant. I find brilliant colors make me cheerful, optimistic, and hopeful. I also enjoy the serenity of nature and have developed a positive outlook on life by observing nature through the camera lens. I've developed a deep affinity for the old, the fading, and inevitable decay of not only nature, but old buildings, mechanical equipment, and household items from my mother (a collector of old things). My portfolio is diverse in all of its aspects.
I began pencil drawing and watercolors in elementary school in Dallas, Texas. I took up photography in the early 1980s and began combining my art interests with my photography. I studied for several years with local Jacksonville artist and art instructor, Jeanne Pelligrino. After taking Adobe Photoshop through Florida State College, I began to create original digital artwork as well as to manipulate my photography. I invite you to peruse my galleries and enjoy for yourself the beguiling effects that art can provide in your own life.
While exploring the many facets of Adobe Photoshop, I find I enjoy creating graphic art pieces and I have begun including some pieces created from my photography of flowers as well as people. Good photographs are always beautiful, but developing a subject using just the most basic elements allows us to appreciate forms, colors, and see these works with imagination and whimsy.
