in 1939 and 1940 I worked and studied under Diego Rivera at the San Francisco World's Fair. In 1942 I studied with Abel Warshawsky in Carmel, Ca. Next, I attended the California School of Fine art, then with Manuel Tolegian and L. Yacoubian. I have dealt mostly with art galleries in California and Oregon. I dealt exclusively with the Palm Springs galleries for fifteen years. I am a representational artist but with impressionist influences. I have painted urban and rural scenes as well as portraiture and architectural sites. I have toured the countries of Europe gathering material as I went along for future paintings. At present, I have a large number of paintings of California scenes and European subjects. I want to show the viewers through the internet the kind of work I do and the range of my subject matter. I work in oils, watercolors, and charcoal drawing. I have a healthy respect for all the eras of art but when I paint, I am completely myself. I hope those who see examples of my work will see the world as I do.
