Thanks for visiting Prashant Shah Fine Art. I'm an artist based in the Chicago area, working in a variety of mediums. I express whatever I am attracted to and find interesting through my art.
I've always loved to draw. During my younger years, my interest in sports cars made them the focus of my drawings, mainly with colored pencils. While I still sketch sports cars, I now draw inspiration from a wide variety of subjects, as can be seen on this website. In general, I'm attracted to subjects with bright colors and beauty.
Although I have been focused on portraits lately and my style is along the lines of realism, I'm always evolving. My ultimate goal is to drift away from realism and become somewhat of an impressionistic painter, focusing more on the message rather than the subject. In my opinion, the best paintings give the viewer an opportunity to see whatever they want to see, rather than defining it for them.
