I began drawing in my native France, at the age of 11, cartoon copies and friends' portraits and animals. I came to paint with oil paints over other media. My subjects have been varied over 4 decades, first inspired by my father's doodles, plus religious imagery, Walt Disney studio artists and countless published illustrators, I endeavored to make this my profession. I followed traditional art instruction starting in Junior HIgh, since arriving in Salinas, California. I attended San Jose State University to receive a B.S. in Graphic Design, with a concentration in Illustration. As my own visual objectives and commissions developed, so did the sizes of my work. I produced outdoor and indoor commercial and residential murals. My oil painting work is conservative in character and subjects, realistic and/or impressionist in style. My illustrations are generally created in watercolor and gouache. I am self-employed and my income is derived from graphic art and design, sign-making, and painting. They're all connected. I love the painterly feel in an image, mine or others' work. This is what I offer you.
