I had been behind the lens doing professional photography from 1996 to 2005. The work I did included yearbook, proms and senior portraits, and then became supervisor for senior portraits all over New Jersey. I also was a wedding photographer, which at that time was done with film, so there was no way to know the shot and you had to rely on your ability not to miss anything. It was very rewarding and I received many 'thank you's' from the brides and their families. I could not continue to do this type of professional photography due to the loss of my retina in one eye, which made it too difficult to do this type of photography.
In previous years I was in photojournalism. I worked for a local newspaper and met many great people in Point Pleasant, Point Pleasant Beach and Bay Head, New Jersey. This also included photography with high school's sports and events. I didn't make alot of money, but it was a blast.
I am self taught and loved the camera, so it seemed to come naturally. I did attend many workshops and read many magazines on new techniques and ideas. I always talked with other photographers to get their input also.
I have always had a love for cars and so you will see many photos in that area. My wife and I have traveled all over New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania, attending many car shows.
I have many photos of the Jersey Shore from the past, which will be posted soon. Also you will see other creative shots from many areas from my travels.
As time goes by I wanted to share my photos with FineArt America for people to enjoy.
I am still behind the camera for family portraits, events, sports and fun and whatever I see that makes an interesting photo.
There is still more to come..
