HI....
I am retired and live in The Villages located in central Florida. Been here for 12 years; but before that I owned a gallery featuring my art, was a custom picture framer and taught acrylic art. About 20 years ago I fell in love with the magic of computers. I'm known as a gaget man, so naturally it didn't take me long to fall in love with computers and being an artist to discover Photoshop, the best known software to produce Digital Art. I have been using some form of digital art for over 15 years. I like it so much that I have started a club sponsored by the Recreation Department here in Florida's friendliest home town, called 'ArtbyPhotoshop'.
Many of my pencil drawings are enhanced using Photoshop. I have used it so much that I am a member of the 'National Association of Photoshop Professionals. If an original drawing is not for sale, it usually means it has been enhanced using Photoshop.
In case you are curious about my earlier life. I grew up in New Jersey, graduated from Kansas University (rock chalk,Jayhawk, KU) where I majored in Geology. After over three years in the Air Force, I was accepted into Carnegie Tech (Now Carnegie Mellon) Graduate School of Printing Management. After mostly majoring in becoming a social being at KU with a C average, to my great surprise I discovered when attending 'Tech' that I was a student, loved to learn and study and graduated with the best grades in The School of Printing Management. Of course it didn't hurt to be married with a young child. I went to work in the packaging and printing industry. At the age of 35 I became interested in Art. It started as a hobby, and the rest is history. I owned Hubbard's Studio for over 35 years.
