My paintings used to be mostly figurative: people, their gestures, postures, expressions, and reactions, fascinate me. I would like to arrest the viewer with a moment of recognition of some kindred feeling from my work. That we all have the same parts and yet each of us is so extraordinarily unique is something incredible. My work is a record of this wonder I feel about being human. But since the last two or three years, I am exploring some abstract ideas of moral values, judgments, arbitrariness, perspective and identities. Let's see where this goes.more
