Neal Eslinger is an Artist and Photographer from a New England town in Northeastern Connecticut called Putnam. The surrounding area in which Neal resides is often referred to as 'The Last Green Valley.'
Neal feels privileged to live surrounded by almost 700,000 acres of forest and farmland with 7 state forests, 16 state wildlife management areas, 5 state parks and more than 130 miles of trails, with a countless number of ponds, lakes, rivers and streams to explore.
Neal owes much of his love for nature to his family, who helped instill in him a deep love, respect and wonder for the Natural World. Neal is passionate about his subjects; Preferring to photograph using unique perspectives and angles; using natural light to highlight the beauty and uniqueness he finds in every day natural moments. Neal's mission has always been, to try to convey to the viewer; emotion, appreciation & wonder for the Natural World. Most of Neal's photography is taken in New England in the state of Connecticut. Popular towns include Pomfret, Woodstock, Thompson, Chaplin, Ashford, Eastford & Union. Neal Eslinger is a frequent visitor of Bigelow Hollow State Park, Yale-Myers Forest, James L. Goodwin State Forest, Bafflin Sanctuary (Audubon Society), Mashamoquet Brook State Park & the Airline State Park Trail (old rail trail) among many others. When Neal is not in Connecticut he can often be found traveling to neighboring states of Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Maine & Vermont. When Neal is not taking photos you can find him experimenting with his acoustic guitar, 5 string banjo, working with oil, colored pencil and/or other mediums.
