Orchids

Oil paintings of orchids in close detail. Inspiration comes from scenes photographed in McKee Gardens in Vero Beach, Florida and The American Orchid Society in Delray Beach, Florida as well as purchases from Publix. White orchids that remind me of lace and ruffles were the most fun to paint. Phalaenopsis, and Cattleya Orchids were the breeds that were most commonly available to me. Peach, pink and white orchids and a red bromeliad framed by the greens of their leaves.
