A note from the artist:
Hello and welcome, I am a Fine Artist living in TX, USA. I am passionate about the arts. It is in every part of my life. I enjoy learning from other artists and sharing what knowledge I have aquired through the years. I am basically a shy artist and for many years before I married I made my total living from my art skills. I have been a selling artist since the age of 7 when I was commissioned to do a portrait in pastels for a neighbor. When I decided to pursue art as a career I did not have the support of my family and was told my art was only a hobby. Even so I continued to follow my need to do the art and tried to help other artists who were starting out to overcome their own obstacles. I am thankful to everyone who had and has faith in my works.
My interests are vast and shows in my subject matter. I am one of the last full blood Cajuns in my family line. The Cajun culture from my youth and the Mexican culture here in San Antonio influence the direction of many of my works. I find time to draw everyday and try to paint at least once a month if possible. My work here is only a very small portion of my art. I am very interested in doing graphic art on my computer and am working on several pieces.
Thank you for visiting me and I thank my collectors for keeping me in art supplies.

Monique has volunteered as an organizer for the San Antonio Art Meetup group and SAVA (San Antonio Visual Artist).
Monique supports several animal rights groups as well as public television, education, environmental and local art groups by donating time, percentage of sales, and her art to these causes.
