Molly's work reflects her deep love for all animals and is passionate about depicting the loyalty, fun and friendship that our pets provide. Lucy, her Yellow Labrador Retriever, provides endless inspiration and is often the subject of her work. Lucy's expressions, the way her coat changes color in different light, Molly wants to capture it all. When she is not painting Lucy, Molly draws inspiration from other dogs, whether they are working, playing or posing. She works primarily in watercolors using a loose style and bold color to portray the life of a dog-a life of living in the moment.
Her focus is not restricted to animals and recently her work has broadened to painting moments from her everyday life that she simply wishes to remember. A visit to a friend's farm, the cows that summer in the pasture next door, a scene from a leisurely paddle on a New Hampshire lake. Memories that are uniquely her own and hopefully evoke a feeling of a shared experience.
Molly lives in New Boston, NH with her husband Jim and her two dogs, a very headstrong yet lovable yellow Lab, Lucy and a feisty and fun Cairn terrier named Cricket.
Her work attracts collectors throughout the country and has won awards locally and nationally, including winning 1st and 2nd Place in Watercolors at the 24th Annual National Art Show at the Dog Show in Wichita, KS in 2010, Best In Show at the VWS Summer Juried Show 2011 awarded by Ted Nuttall, AWS and most recently the Judge’s Award at the 25th International Exhibition on Animals Art, LSU School of Veterinary Medicine and her artwork has been featured on the cover of the Journal of the Veterinary Medical Association.
