'Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn't pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same, or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children and our children's children what it was once like in the United States where men were free.' The artist, Michelle Finnegan gave up international missions after the US engaged in war and she traveled across the US literally painting people's hands then printing them on canvas and turning them into works of art that embody who a person is and what they do with their freedom. She benefited numerous US charitable organizations or legal citizens who were falling through the cracks in the red tape while attention and funding was going overseas to 'fight for our freedom.' She wanted people to think about what they would do if they realized the freedom they wanted. Everyday we get out of bed and do something, whether for profit or not, we will leave a mark, either in the physical world or in someone's heart. Let's strive to leave worthy mark.
