My love for photography began as a boy when I was taught the basics by my father.   During a tour of duty with an Army Combat K9 unit in Vietnam, I bought a professional model Nikon SLR camera and dreamed of becoming an artistic photographer when I returned home.   A family of my own and a new career put that dream on hold for many years, but I had always enjoyed photography as an art form.   Then, after surviving another kind of war with cancer back in 1997, I began to really see the beauty in our world.Ever since then I have been inspired with a new awareness of life and an improved photographic...more

Scenes From The Carolinas

My favorite images from my travels to the states of North and South Carolina. My love for photography began as a boy when I was taught the basics by my father. During a tour of duty with the U.S. Army in Vietnam, I bought a professional model Nikon SLR film camera and dreamed of becoming an artistic photographer when I returned home. A family of my own and a new career put that dream on hold, but I have always enjoyed photography as an art form. Several years ago, after surviving another kind of war with cancer, I began to really see the beauty in our world. Now equipped with a new awareness of life and improved photographic vision, I am able to find beautiful scenes almost everywhere I go. In 2006 I finally realized my dream from so long ago and began selling my art locally. Later in 2009, I established my online galleries here with Fine Art America. While continuing to improve techniques and add to my artistic images on display here; my art has been purchased by collectors throughout the United States as well as in other countries. Although I am no longer a young man and physical conditions now limit my ability to travel to far-away places; my passion for this art form grows, so I will continue to create and share my art with others for as long as I am able to do so.
