Welcome to my art site. Painting is my passion and I have been at it since I was eight years old, starting with my mom ( who sent me for oil paint lessons from an artist in the Bronx-where I grew up). One of my very first oils was of two swans! I later attended Art and Design schools in NYC and upstate New York, earning degrees in Textile Design, Art History and Art Education.
I became a textile designer in New York City, and taught art in Michigan and (still do in) Florida for many years. I have always loved the basic, simple, stylized shapes found in all forms of nature and life itself, and the bright, pure colors of the rainbow. I believe art and design surrounds us and I love being able to bring it to 'life' through the use of color, shape, texture and genre. The tropics especially seem to 'speak' to me due to the gorgeous colors, angular shapes and flowing forms found in seaside villages and towns and the beauty of island life. It's a joy to capture these scenes in my paintings and I hope you enjoy my work as much as I enjoy creating it!
Please come and visit again, as I will be adding more artwork as it is 'born'!

Three of my pieces were on display at the Old School Square PBCATA Art Exhibit in Delray Beach in April-May, 2012.
I'm presently attempting to launch a tropical tote bag line-hoping for the Fall of 2013!
