Mark Clifford Photography- Mark Clifford Photographer/ Artist, I am a self- taught photographer artist and have been practicing my craft since 2001. I began shooting with a Pentax K.1000 35.mm manual film camera experimenting with different film types, a year later I set up my own darkroom and began learning the art of silver gelatin printing. I began showing my work in local cafe's, private galleries and outdoor art exhibit events as well as fund raising events. In 2006 I went digital with a Nikon D 70s, this is also my current camera, I love the versatility of my Nikon D 70s and I now work with raw files as I would with film negatives, I keep my images as true to their original moment of exposure, the only enhancing I do- is what I would do in my darkroom- dodging, burning, adjusting contrast- bringing out the best of the image to portray it's essence and mood of which I felt drawn to photograph initially. My main subjects are landscapes, coastal regions, abandoned places, unique trees, water elements, dramatic skies, atmosphere and still life.
