PLEASE NOTE ; I take my copyright very seriously – I have a very good intellectual property lawyer !
At the age of 19 I studied textile & design and three years later I taught art & design for a number of years in secondary education. Having taking time out to have a family I returned not to teaching but to freelance designing.
I regard myself as a merge between illustrator and artist. I have now had a long career in the world of design, I run a licensing art studio with my daughter & husband, supplying images worldwide across a range of art-related consumer products from greetings cards & cross stitch to ceramics and calendars. I count myself so lucky working with so many great art directors worldwide from the USA to Russia. The Internet wow!! Now that has revolutionized my approach to working …what would have taken months to get going is now far more fluid. Every day I walk across the garden to my studio and the world is literally at my fingertips. I still marvel at the whole incredible changes that have happened in my creative career and I adore the challenges it creates.
Six years ago I illustrated four crazy quirky cats. Much to my amazement they became incredibly popular and I ventured into branding - My much loved feline range, featuring ‘Jasper-the-Cat’ and his friends Thomas, Leopold and Sebastian, (the ‘cats with attitude’), have been trademarked as “Catitudes TM”. With the rest of their friends they are found on a growing product range. The growing cat family has now grown to 50 and they have their very own face book : catitudes facebook
I have a fairly strong presence on the web and my designs have found favor with a number of international companies including Hallmark, Royal Worcester, International Graphics Clairefontaine to name but a few.
I aim to create beautiful artwork and illustrations and I would love for you to visit my web site :
