I have been hooked on photography since age six when my grandmother, returning from a trip to Egypt, passed on her well-traveled Kodak Brownie camera as well as her wanderlust. A travel, editorial and fine art photographer by profession, my images seek to shine a light on the reality around me and to evoke an emotional response. My work has been shown in galleries throughout the New York metropolitan area, including at the Museum of the City of New York and hang in the collections of private, institutional and corporate collectors. OpSail 2012

OPSAIL 2012 Connecticut started out with a bang as Navy hovercraft left the USS Carter Hall to land at Hole-in-the-Wall beach at McCook's Point Park in Niantic, Connecticut, my second home town (my family's been there every summer since I was 10). I joined the mayor of Groton and a few others aboard the Tyrone, a schooner from Chatham in Cape Cod owned by Matthew and Cynthia Sutphin for Day 2 to take part in the Parade of Sail as the tall ships made their way from Niantic to Fort Trumbull, New London, then spent another day on land photographing the continuing festivities.
