“I work mostly with mid-fire clays and glazes, watercolors and water soluble oils. I also make candles, soaps, woodburning art, dried herbs, potpourri and brooms with herbs, flowers and grains I have grown myself organically and also include them in my claywork and painting. All of my gardens and dreams for my environment are included in my art in one way or another. I do NOT add computer effects to the paintings you see here - they are as they were painted.'
The photography has also not been retouched by a CGA program, and all are originals as taken.
Mother Nature and all she provides and inspires in the Western North Carolina mountains permeates all of Peggy’s crafts, be it pottery, painting or other eclectic creations (with an occasional excursion into places she has traveled to – such as Hawaii, Canada, the Southwest USA, Ireland, and others -- wherever nature is at her best ….or worst!) – Leicester Artists Guild member
Peggy has a BBA and MBA from the University of Illinois/Champaign/Urbana, is a CPA and a certified Master Gardener, both in Buncombe County, North Carolina and Delaware County, Ohio. Art classes at AB Tech, Asheville, NC and Ohio State University, Columbus, OH.
