Inks at war
Encres en guerre • Tintas en guerra Experimental mixed media technique including indian ink, stripes, cutter, air blow, glue, oil and turpentine. I was feeling quite bad when painting this, using the last resources I could find in my luggage. My stomach was crying and summer was horribly hot under the metallic roof in Paris. Everything around was old, breaking, dirty, stinky, so I felt like I had to include mechanical and chemical destruction in the creative process. Like individuals during a war, drops of black ink had to choose their side: water or oil. Some could not find find their way between glue spots, cuts and stripes. Some did. Most were broken in smaller drops so they now look like ash on the paper. This gallery is best printed on metal.
