I work directly, painting from nature or still life objects,
out-of-doors in the early morning or late afternoon to evening light.
My work is personally expressive, some painted spontaneously as a sketch,
and some are more highly developed.
Lisa Farrell lives and works in Washington, DC and is a part - time resident of
Provincetown, MA. She was born in Livingston, New Jersey and educated at
Carnegie - Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA. For the past twenty years she has
worked as a graphic designer in the National Gallery of Art’s Department of Design
and Installation. Prior to that, she worked for five years for Master Printmaker
Lou Stovall, in Washington, DC, as his first assistant, where she editioned
silkscreen prints for many prominent American artists.
