I was married in 1991 to Richard L Marsing and we had a family right away and was blessed with three kids Brooke, Ashton, and Alek. I became a mom, and being an artist was on the back burner for a while. I love to see the way my kids express themselves through art. Brooke is a writer and has a love of words. She can paint an image in your mind with words. Ashton is a dancer and singer and she is a visual art herself. Alek loves to draw and paint. I think if he tries a little he will be even better than me.
In 2009, I stated painting again. I painted a hawk in flight and entered it in the Sweetwater County Fair just for fun and won overall grand champion. Then later, in 2010, I entered in the Art on the Green painting and sculpting competition. I did not win, but had many people interested in buying my paintings. Afterwards, I thought I should start to sell some of them.
I found a web page in 2011, with art by Karen Walker. She had the most beautiful painting of a peacock online. I had to go and see how she did it. She had a short video on how to do paintings with ink. So I bought the stuff and started painting. I love to do ink art. I love the color. I also like how it flows like watercolor.
I have tried pottery, drawing, sculpting, photography and many more things. I love to do watercolor. I love the flow and how you can build up the color and see all the layers. And now I found I can get the same kind of results with ink.
I hope you enjoy seeing my paintings as much as I enjoy sharing them.
