Hi, I'm Lisa, and I am a self-taught Artist/Photographer. I've always been interested in Photography, but I did not start taking photographs seriously until 2009, when my husband bought me my first Nikon camera. We were both career Law Enforcement officers, and he retired in 2009. Knowing that I was still experiencing very stressful and extremely difficult days (not all bad, mind you, but always lots of stress) after he left, he bought me the camera and encouraged me to dig deeper into Photography as a way to relieve that stress and enjoy life outside of work. When I retired in 2012, we moved to Cody, Wyoming, and let me tell you-- this is an amazing place to experience God's creation. I spent the majority of my life in California on the Central Coast, but I've also lived in Montana and Alaska-- and each of these places is filled with their own unique beauty. I wish that I would have gotten into Photography earlier in life, to share some of those places and experiences with others, but perhaps I'll have the opportunity to revisit Alaska again someday- that is truly a place every person should visit at least once in their lives, it is wonderfully wild and untamed.
It's my desire to express the way I see the world around me in a manner that beings glory to the Creator; at the same time, I would also like those who see my images to enjoy my own unique expression of life. I have a lot to learn, but each day brings new vision and wonders.
Welcome to the way I see things!
